School calendar
1st February, 2021.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am writing to inform you of changes we have made to the school calendar for the remainder of the year. You will see on our original school calendar that we had planned to take a long mid-term in the third term, closing on May 3rd for the week (May 3rd -7th). However, as we will be continuing with remote learning for longer than expected, the staff have agreed that we would prefer to maximise face to face teaching opportunities in the third term. Therefore, we will take the extended mid-term in February from Monday Feb 15th -Friday 19th. This may be easier for families with children in Primary and Secondary school and may also give you all a well-deserved break!
More importantly, when we eventually get back to face to face teaching, it would ensure we will be able to take every opportunity to bridge the gaps that we know many pupils will have in their learning on their return to school.
We will also have one more day to take which we will add to the June bank holiday weekend, therefore we will be closed on Mon June 7th and Tues June 8th. A copy of the adjusted calendar is attached for your information.

In the event that there are unexpected prolonged closures during the school year e.g. due to weather, these dates may be adjusted.
